The databases below are available to State employees working in the Topeka area and require no password. Unless otherwise noted access can be obtained through any state computer connected to the internet through DISC. All databases are available on public access computers at the State Library.
HeinOnline (State employees only)
Access to the Kansas Session Laws, Code of Federal Regulation, Federal Register, Congressional Record, United States Code, U.S. Statutes at Large, and Federal Agency Documents.
Search for coverage of a broad range of subjects including arts, business, children, education, general interest, health, humanities, international, law, military, multicultural, psychology, sciences, social sciences, and women's interests. In-depth coverage of business and economic conditions, management techniques, theory, and practice of business, advertising, marketing, economics, human resources, finance, taxation, computers, and more.

NewsBank (State employees only)
Provides full-text articles from the electronic editions of record for more than 600 U.S. newspapers- all in one easy-to-search database.
Searches bill status, state statutes, summaries of state statutes, publications on legislative issues, and information on state legislators for all 50 states.
Searches for in-depth information on U.S. and Canadian businesses.
Foundation Directory (walk-in only)
Searches millions of state, federal and private grants and foundations.
Westlaw (walk-in only)
Provides access to Kansas materials including opinions, statutes, and administrative codes, U.S. Congressional Record and American Jurisprudence. Additionally law reviews, bar journals and legal periodicals.
