The Ethics of Access

Presented by Kim Rutter, Southeast Kansas Library System
Sponsored by the Southeast Kansas Library System

This session explores several statements from the ALA Code of Ethics that sound obvious in the abstract, but that, when applied to some of our day-to-day library situations, can be less than clear. Use the 11 library case studies below to consider and discuss everyday ethical situations that libraries face in providing access to information and services to their communities.
