Talking Books is a division of the State Library, and the regional library is located on the campus of Emporia State University. Its function is to coordinate outreach efforts throughout the state, provide magazines directly to users, provide interlibrary-loan services, provide reference service, and act as liaison between the Kansas Network and the Library of Congress.

Like all outreach libraries, the regional library offers a variety of presentations to groups. If your group or classroom is interested in learning more about our services as they relate to blindness, low vision, physical impairments, reading disabilities and assistive technologies contact us or your local outreach library for information.
