The purpose of the Kansas Advisory Council for Talking Books is to represent the needs of individuals who use the Talking Book and Braille Service and to make recommendations concerning library policies, services and programs. Normally, the committee of fifteen members meets twice a year, spring and fall.
Membership on the committee consists primarily of library borrowers but may include librarians, educators, and other individuals whose education or experience have created an understanding of the needs of individuals who use the Talking Book and Braille Services.
